Sean Carroll, CEO
Sean Carroll serves as CEO of Webmedx, with leadership responsibility for the Atlanta-based clinical documentation services provider. Prior to taking the helm in 2004, Sean served as president of the medical transcription division for the company. He has also served as CEO of Rodeer Systems, a leader in the medical transcription and emerging IT-enabled services sector. Prior to Rodeer he was co-founder and CEO of TransQuick, Inc., the first national provider of emergency medicine transcription services. His experience in the medical transcription and clinical documentation marketplace has resulted in industry acknowledgements for his companies, including two national awards for industry employer of the year, a Smithsonian Computer World Award for technology innovation in healthcare for automated speech recognition applications, and several successive years as the elected president of the medical transcription’s international trade association. Sean is a graduate of Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.

Joseph Cannon, President and COO

Joseph “Jay” Cannon joined Webmedx in 2007, bringing 18 years of experience in the medical transcription industry. In his current capacity, he’s responsible for managing day-to-day operations for the company, developing and improving distribution strategies, cultivating products and services to meet the needs of new and emerging markets, and preparing for continued growth. He is the president of the Medical Transcription Industry Association (MTIA) and has held several leadership positions with key industry initiatives including chair of MTIA’s BMP and value standards committee. As co-chair of the MTIA/AHIMA task force on standard unit of measures Jay helped author the industry whitepaper on the visual basic character (VBC). Prior to Webmedx, Jay was the executive vice president for Spheris, Inc. a company he founded in 1998. He has also held positions with The MRC Group and Medifax/Secrephone. Jay is a graduate of the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.
Lance Fusacchia, CFO
Lance Fusacchia co-founded Webmedx in 1996 and currently serves as chief financial officer, responsible for finance and accounting, human resources and purchasing functions. Preceding Webmedx, Lance was CFO of Automated Healthcare, Inc., a developer of automated robotic pharmacy stations, until it was sold to McKesson Corporation. He has also served as vice president, finance & administration and CFO of Extrel Corporation, a manufacturer of mass spectrometers. In addition, Lance has held various financial and business development positions with Medrad, Inc., a developer of diagnostic medical equipment. Lance is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame in South Bend, Indiana.

George Liptak, Senior Vice President, Technology & Development

George Liptak joined Webmedx in 1996 and was a part of its early product development, customer service and sales support team. He assumed the position of vice president in 2003 and is primarily responsible for UNIX based R&D, defining strategic product development direction and technology research. Prior to Webmedx, George was technical development manager of GSI, Inc., a developer of logistics and distribution software. He has also served on technical committees for both the Medical Transcription Industry Association and the Pennsylvania eHealth Initiative. George is a graduate of St. Vincent College in Latrobe, Pennsylvania.
Chris Cashwell, Senior Vice President, Client Development
Chris Cashwell joined Webmedx in 2009, taking the national leadership role for the company’s business development sales and marketing efforts. In this capacity, he leverages his more than 12 years of experience in business development for GE Capital, with three focused solely on the healthcare sector. Chris has worked directly with some of the nation’s largest health systems and purchasing groups. In addition he is considered a leading healthcare expert to Hedge Fund managers and equity investment firms on a variety of healthcare technology issues. Mr. Cashwell is a graduate of Lipscomb University in Nashville, TN.
Joanne Glunt, Senior Vice President, Field Operations
Joanne Glunt joined Webmedx in 2007. She brings 30 years of healthcare industry experience to the clinical documentation services company, including an extensive background in operations and account management in medical transcription outsourcing that helps her effectively address clients’ business issues. She began her career as president and co-founder of Medscribe, a Pittsburgh-based transcription services firm eventually acquired by MedQuist, a national provider of medical transcription and healthcare documentation management services, where she served as a senior vice president of national operations. Joanne is a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania.
